This year the Philadelphia Eagles are not doing so good. Before the pre-season everyone thought the Eagles were going to be very good this year since they have gotten new good players on the team. The Eagles are one of the week's biggest fallers, and have dropped to their lowest point of the season. After 13 seasons under Andy Reid without a Super Bowl victory, the eagles brass must decide whether it's time for a change. It's really over for the Eagles. I believe that Andy Reid will be back next season, ready to go to the Super Bowl. After all the money the Eagles spent, it’s funny that their best signing came at the veteran minimum came from Evan Mathis. Mathis has combined with our top ranked LT on the year to form the best left side of a line in the league, while after some early season shuffles, the rest of the line has come together. Andy Reid's day of reckoning will come a month from now, when he sits down with his bosses and sifts through the carnage and explains to them what happened here, and what, if anything, he can correct so it won't happen again. And they decide whether that's good enough to bring him back. The coaches say players are trying real hard, are giving it their all, even as the evidence suggests the opposite. The players say they haven't quit on the coaches, not even beleaguered defensive coordinator Juan Castillo, who sounds more perplexed and saddened as he takes the podium each Thursday and tries to explain why his game plan which he continually calls "good" works out so badly most weeks.

The Eagle win against the Giants
Vince Young threw a interception when the Eagles Played in Washington, he had a poor first half, but in the second half, he did well and had a game winning touchdown drive . Steve Smith was tackled by one of the Cardinal players who was shy of a first down last week, caught a touchdown pass against his former team. Ronnie Brown’s signature play before this was an intentional fumble, ran for the first of six Eagles first downs on the winning drive. finished 23 for 36 for 258 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. It all came down to the final play, 80 yard drive in the fourth quarter that resulted in the game winning 8 yard touchdown pass to Riley Cooper. Vince Young was 8 for 10 for 69 yards in the fourth quarter, and he was 5 for 5 for 44 yards on third downs in the fourth quarter.
Riley Cooper was the Eagles most targeted receiver with 12. He had five catches for 75 yards and the score. His pass protection was outstanding. Vince Young had all game to find his receivers. The Giants came in with a league high 30 sacks, but only got to Vince Young once, and it was a coverage sack.
DeSean Jackson had six catches for 88 yards. Vince Young threw a pass to DeSean Jackson for a 50 yard gain, but Desean flipped the ball at Giants coaches on the sideline. He was whistled for a taunting penalty. It normally would be called after the completion, but the Giants were also flagged on the play. It meant the catch was negated, and the ball was back to the original line of scrimmage.
